Hi, this is Dr. Patrick Cohn with the MGCP certification program at mentalgamecoachingpro.com Today, I’m gonna do a short video and how to get your website listed in Google.

0:21 I think around 06, so 2006, for example, um, and it’s went over several iterations. Um, I had a business coach that was helping me get my website noticed at the time.

0:36 Now, a lot has changed since 2006, but some of the basics, um, still apply. So I’m gonna share with you one of the secrets to, getting your website ranked in Google.

0:48 Google. So I’m going to use one of our websites as an example. This is SportsPsychologyTennis.com. One of my niche sports psychology websites that I’ve started over the years.

1:01 Umm, and this has been very valuable for competitive tennis players because we’re, working as, you know, sports psychology for competitive juniors and tennis players, for example.

1:13 Umm. It’s not enough to just throw up a website. You certainly need a well-designed website. You need pages. Umm, the coaching programs, your products, about, about us, free tips, for example, and contact us.

1:29 But the real work comes when you’re posting very specific keyword-rich articles on your website. Let me show you how that works.

1:40 So this is a recent article that we published on the website. By the way, we also sent, And these out in our newsletter, so it’s a two-for-one.

1:48 In other words, we sent it out as a email newsletter to the tennis group, and then from there, we’ll post it on the tennis website.

1:58 it’s got some good, very good tips. Three strategies to stay mentally tough and close matches. Um, so, yeah. Um, something that people might be searching for.

2:08 And that’s the key to get noticed by Google. This is what’s called a long-tail keyword. In other words, if someone’s searching on strategies to be mentally tough in close matches, then we might come up.

2:22 And I’ll show you how that works. I’m basically gonna pop this in a new window by searching, uh, for that title.

2:30 And when I search for that title, Boom. There we are. Probably because it’s a long-tail keyword. Three strategies to be mentally tough.

2:38 Um, if I change that up, it might be something different that comes up, but you can see we came up in the AI search assistant.

2:46 Um, and this is DuckDuckGo. And then we also came up here, for example. Um, let’s see where else. And there’s other websites here.

2:58 There’s one for peak sports, um, that’s later on, how to win in close competitions. so I could modify this particular search, and I could say, mentally tough in close tennis matches.

3:12 A little bit different, so that someone might be searching for that. That’s the key. Umm, and it still comes up.

3:20 Umm, so that’s beautiful, and then what’ll happen is people will click over there. Umm, they’ll see that we have virtual mental coaching.

3:27 They can get a free e-book, for example as well, or purchase a, uh, audio program as well. Or, or just look at some of the other, uh, articles here.

3:38 Throwing up a wa- A website? Great. You need a website for credibility. However, you need very specific things that people might be searching on.

3:48 In this case, it’s for tennis. They might be searching on a particular keyword like mentally tough and close matches. Now, your results might vary if you go to, uh, Google, for example, and put it in.

4:02 Or you go to chat, GPT, or whatever, and you put that, that mentally toughing close tennis matches, you might get something else.

4:09 So, sometimes, um, duck.go or Google will serve up what they think I’m looking for. Hope that was helpful. I’ll see you in the course.
