Upon acceptance into the Mental Game Coaching Professional (MGCP) program, you will be given detailed instructions on the procedure for the MGCP progbram including access to the peaksports.com membership website, start dates and times of each teleclass,, and the telephone number for the tele-conference. The MGCP teleclass certification program is taught by tele-confernece over a period of 20 weeks (10 weeks for summer term), meeting for an hour each week (or two hours a week for the summer).

You do not need special computer equipment other than internet access, MS word, and adobe reader for document transfer. All documents will be downloaded from a special area on peaksports.com website for MGCP students and grads.

The bulk of your education will happen outside of the weekly teleconference sessions through readings, case studies and real-life work with athletes and teams. Nearly 60 hours of homework assignments will be spreadout over the course of the 20 weeks of the MGCP training program. Homework will include: performing mental game assessments with athletes; case study analysis and review; and real-life coaching simulations with actual athletes.

Throughout this 20-week program, you will…

• Assist actual athletes or teams and get hands on experience dealing with real mental game challenges.
• Refine your mental game coaching techniques through 15 real-life case study scenarios.
• Receive a 20 chapter written workbook and over 45 mental coaching handouts for your use with teams and athletes to ensure that you have the tools necessary to be a powerfully effective mental game coach.
• Complete weekly homework assignments to receive personalized feedback from Dr. Cohn to improve your mental game coaching effectiveness.
• Read mental training books and other publications on mental game coaching
• Use the tools in the peaksports.com membership program including e-books, articles, audio programs and interviews, and an online mental game assessment.

By the end of the program (provided you have completed all requirements for graduation, including passing the certification exam), you will receive a certification from Peak Performance Sports as a certified Mental Game Coaching Professional; be able to use the MGCP title and insignia; gain access to the peaksports.com membership site as long as you are in the MGCP program; and earn a listing on peaksports.com and menatlgamecoachingpro.com as a certified MGCP.
