As the president and founder of Peak Performance Sports (Orlando, Florida), Dr. Patrick J. Cohn is a master mental game coach who is dedicated to teaching coaches how to instill mental game skills in their athletes.

He earned a Ph.D. degree in Education specializing in the field of Applied Sports Psychology at The University of Virginia. Dr. Cohn has worked with hundreds of athletes for 30+ years to develop strategies to enter “the zone” faster and stay there longer. Experts in the field of sports psychology regard him as the leading authority for entering the zone and preshot routines.

Dr. Cohn has been working with athletes, teams, and coaches worldwide from a variety of sport backgrounds for over 30 years. He has consulted with the likes of the Miami Dolphins, PGA Tour winners, and Professional Baseball, Hockey, Tennis, and Motocross athletes. His experience as an athlete, coach, and mental game coach has helped hundreds of athletes as well as coaches, trainers and therapists identify the mental obstacles that block peak performance.

Dr. Cohn created the very first mental game coach certification when he started the MGCP certification program in 2004 to provide coaches and other professionals a system for doing mental coaching and to learn proven mental game strategies.

Not only is Dr. Cohn known as one of the nation’s leading mental game experts, he is a recognized author (with over 20 publications), author of The Confident Athlete CD series and the Confident Sports Kid CD series, and sought after as a professional speaker on mental training for peak performance in sports. He has served as a sports commentator for the Golf Channel and has been a featured columnist for trade publications such as Golf Magazine, PGAtour.com, and Golf Digest.

Dr. Cohn has also been seen on CNN, Fox, MSNBC, USA Today, Yahoo Online, Men’s Health, and Versus Network.
